'Enabling and Empowering through choice'
Moor Green is a rehabilitation facility for people who have
experienced an acquired brain injury, and are in the middle to late
stages of recovery. Moor Green is an out-patient unit and has
provided rehabilitation service to people with a brain injury from
across the West Midlands since 1973 (provided they live within a
reasonable daily travelling distance). When someone has had a brain
injury, they will frequently need help to overcome some of the
problems that the injury has created. If these problems are
very complex, or numerous, then the person is likely to need
services of a multi-disciplinary team rather than the help of
one or two professionals. |
|

Moor Green has a number of aims which it seeks to meet.
These include:
 |
provide a full
rehabilitation service for people who have been discharged from
hospital and are still recovering from brain injury;
|
 |
enabling the clients
to increase their level of independence;
|
 |
providing support for
clients, families and friends;
|
 |
providing liaison
with other agencies who might need to be involved either during
rehabilitation or at discharge;
|
 |
offer a follow-up
service to ensure that progress is maintained;
|
 |
providing an
information service to people who have had a brain injury, their
families and other professionals.
